life does not stop for this
the trail does not wane
the water does not calm for it
the mind does not cease
a heart does not bend to it
the soul it is unwaivered
through thick and thorn it passes
the ground does not give way
the wind it sees the heart of it
it carries it away
its journey is not known by them
a life thats swept away
